Tournament Information

General Information on Player Eligibility

- Players must be registered with and play for the same CYSL club at the Tournament that they were registered with and played for in one or both sessions of the current CYSL season.

- No 9th grade students will be allowed to participate.

-Players must be registered with the school or PRE program for their associated team. In the event the player's registered school or PRE program does not have a registered team, please reach out to OkobojiTeam@gmail.com. 

- A player may be registered for and play for only one team in this Tournament.

- Players who qualified for and registered in the U12 division during the current CYSL season are allowed to play in the U12 division of the Okoboji Tournament.

- Players who qualified for and registered in the U14 division of the current CYSL season are allowed to play in the U14 division of the Okoboji Tournament.

- Exception: individual players (not teams) who played in a lower age group during the current CYSL season are allowed to “play up” for their home CYSL club into an older age group in the Okoboji Tournament. Players are not allowed to “play down” into a younger age group.  See the Tournament registration page on SportsEngine Tourney for additional details on player eligibility.

Except as otherwise stated herein, CYSL and FIFA soccer rules will apply to this tournament.

Registration Process

Registration for the tournament will again be handled using SportsEngine Tourney, including all communication, game schedules and game results.  All coaches and parents should be sure to download the app and follow their teams so they can receive the latest information.

Registration Fees for the Tournament:

U12 - $775 per team

U14 - $825 per team

You can pay via credit card at the time you submit your registration

(including associated credit card fees) or Zelle payment (no fees).

If for some reason your team is not invited,

your electronic payment will be refunded.

Checks will no longer be accepted as a form of payment.

The coach will receive a communication from the Tournament Directors confirming their invitation once registration closes. Any outstanding payments will be expected along with name and an electronic waiver for each player by no later than April 15th.

 

Teams that withdraw from the tournament after May 1st will forgo their invitation for the following year.
